My artwork is based in photographic media, to put it another way the words as seen through "the artificial eye". I started taking photographs when I was young, and as may be seen above, even when producing work via more traditional media such as oil on canvas I still produce the work from the photographic representation rather than straight from life.

These paintings below, my most recent work, are based upon a digital photographic images. The last three are relatively large (in the region of 2 metres using the "golden section" ratio).

On the 31st of July and 1st of August 2009 I opened my art studio in Mother Studios, as part of the Hackney Wicked arts festival. As well as displaying the above paintings I worked on a photographic based project. My plan was to prepare an area to take portrait photographs of willing participants, who were be asked to sign a model release form. In return for lending me their time and allowing me to use their image for the production of my artwork I would, if desired, email the individual a scan of their photograph.
